No. 9 Cornell Stuns No. 6 North Dakota with 4-1 Win
Cornell opened their season on fire, taking down No. 6 North Dakota 4-1 at Lynah Rink in Ithaca, NY. Sullivan Mack powered the Big Red with a goal and an assist, while Ian Shane was solid in net with 23 saves. Cornell’s scoring depth showed as Nick DeSantis, Tyler Catalano, and Nicholas Wolfenberg each added a goal. The Fighting Hawks’ lone tally came from Dylan James, and TJ Semptimphelter and Hobie Hedquist combined for 17 saves after an early change in goal.

Top-Ranked Denver Shuts Out Yale 6-0
The No. 1 Denver Pioneers showcased their offensive depth, routing Yale 6-0 at Ingalls Rink. Matt Davis earned the shutout with 21 saves, while Eric Pohlkamp had a breakout night with two goals and an assist. Jake Fisher, Boston Buckberger, Carter King, and Rieger Lorenz each contributed to the scoreboard. Yale’s Jack Stark battled in net, making 25 saves.

No. 11 Michigan Rallies in Third to Top No. 5 Boston University 5-1
Michigan stunned BU at Agganis Arena, scoring five unanswered goals in the third period to secure a 5-1 victory. Evan Werner led the charge with two goals and an assist, with Ethan Edwards, Jacob Truscott, and Nick Moldenhauer also finding the net. Logan Stein stopped 22 shots for the Wolverines, while BU’s Cole Eiserman opened the scoring and Mathieu Caron tallied 30 saves.

No. 2 Boston College Handles No. 10 St. Cloud State 4-1
Boston College continued their strong run with a 4-1 win over St. Cloud State at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Gabe Perreault was unstoppable, scoring twice, and Jacob Fowler was reliable between the pipes with 19 saves. Will Vote and Teddy Stiga rounded out the scoring for BC, while Daimon Gardner netted the Huskies’ lone goal.

No. 4 Minnesota Overcomes No. 18 Penn State 3-1
Jimmy Snuggerud’s two-goal performance lifted Minnesota to a 3-1 victory at 3M Arena at Mariucci. Nathan Airey stood tall with 21 saves, and Jimmy Clark chipped in with a goal. Penn State’s Reese Laubach scored first, but Arsenii Sergeev’s 31 saves weren’t enough to hold off the Gophers.

Bemidji State Upsets No. 16 Minnesota State 1-0
Bemidji State edged No. 16 Minnesota State in a tight 1-0 battle at the Sanford Center. Carter Randklev’s second-period goal stood as the game-winner, while Mattias Sholl secured the shutout with 24 saves. The Mavericks’ Alex Tracy was a workhorse, turning away 43 shots in the loss.

No. 7 Maine Dominates Merrimack 5-0
Maine shut out Merrimack 5-0 at Alfond Arena, giving head coach Ben Barr his 50th career win. Harrison Scott and Charlie Russell each notched a goal and two assists, while Albin Boija stopped all 15 shots for the clean sheet. Max Lundgren and Nils Wallstrom combined for 28 saves for Merrimack.

No. 8 Colorado College Tops Air Force 3-2 in OT
Max Burkholder’s overtime heroics kept Colorado College in possession of the Pikes Peak Trophy with a 3-2 win over Air Force at Ed Robson Arena. The Tigers overcame a 2-0 deficit with goals from Drew Montgomery and Klavs Veinbergs before Burkholder sealed it. Air Force’s Brendan Gibbons and Clayton Cosentino each posted a goal and assist, and Guy Blessing made 30 saves.

No. 12 Providence Doubles Up New Hampshire 6-3
Ryan O’Reilly led No. 12 Providence past New Hampshire 6-3 at Schneider Arena with two goals. Andrew Centrella and Clint Levens also tallied multi-point nights, and Philip Svedebäck made 23 saves for the Friars. Ryan Conmy’s two-goal effort for the Wildcats wasn’t enough to keep pace.

No. 15 Ohio State Runs Over Lake Superior State 9-3
Ohio State’s offense exploded in a 9-3 win over Lake Superior State at Value City Arena. Sam Deckhut’s two goals and an assist highlighted a strong team effort. Logan Terness made 14 saves for the Buckeyes, while Reagan Milburn’s three-point night for the Lakers couldn’t salvage the game.

No. 19 Notre Dame Edges Wisconsin 3-2 in OT
Cole Knuble’s overtime strike secured a 3-2 victory for Notre Dame over Wisconsin at Compton Family Ice Arena. Brennan Ali tied the game late in the second, and Owen Say’s 42 saves kept the Irish in it. Ryan Botterill and Owen Lindmark scored for the Badgers, with Tommy Scarfone stopping 21 shots.

No. 20 UMass Lowell Outlasts Holy Cross 5-4 in OT
Jak Vaarwerk’s overtime goal lifted UMass Lowell over Holy Cross 5-4 at the Hart Recreation Center. Vaarwerk added an assist in a strong showing, and Beni Halasz and Henry Welsch combined for 27 saves in net. Holy Cross’s Timothy Heinke scored twice in a gritty effort that fell just short.
