Ancelotti Addresses Bellingham and Vinícius Jr. Tension After Celta Vigo Clash

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has downplayed the heated exchange between Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Jr. during the club’s recent 2-1 win against Celta Vigo at Balaídos on Saturday night.

The match saw Kylian Mbappé open the scoring with a stunning long-range strike, followed by Vinícius Jr.’s decisive goal, which came from a brilliant run and calm finish, securing Real Madrid’s hard-fought victory.

However, prior to Vinícius Jr.’s match-winning moment, tensions flared between the Brazilian forward and his teammate Jude Bellingham. With Real Madrid leading 1-0, Vinícius Jr. missed the opportunity to set up Bellingham, who was in a prime scoring position late in the first half. Bellingham expressed his frustration visibly, shouting at his teammate and kicking the turf in disappointment.

When asked about the incident after the match, Ancelotti was quick to dismiss any concerns about a rift between the two stars, stating:

Jude Bellingham was angry with Vinícius? I didn’t notice the gesture. But if he did it, it means he has balls. I like it. After the match, I saw them talking and laughing. I don’t think they have any problems.”

Ancelotti’s remarks suggest that the exchange was nothing more than a moment of passion during a high-stakes game, and that both players are on good terms following their crucial contributions to the team’s victory.
