Ferda Sports College Football Week 6 Pick‘em Challenge

Sharing is caring!

The Ferda Sports boys are back for their Week 6 Pick’em Challenge. The Sherriff and Rick are still tied for the lead at 6-4 with Causey_Covers dropping to 4-6.

Before we kick it off, there were a lot of spreads that left our boys scratching their heads. How is Wake Forest only a 6 point favorite against the ‘Cuse? Why is Michigan only favored by 3 against Nebraska? What does Vegas know that we do not?

Without further adieu, here are The Sheriff’s picks for the week:

Alabama – 17.5 against A&M: Alabama just shit pumped Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss squad. The game was over by the 1st quarter and the score was actually closer than what the game appeared. Bama is just a force that no one can really compete with except for maybe Georgia. A&M has had trouble scoring and the QB position has been shaky at best. I foresee Bama covering the spread by halftime. My only concern would be if they were to start pulling their first string guys and A&M scores garbage time points.

UNCheat -17.5 against FSUck: FSU flat out stinks. They barely beat Syracuse with a last second field goal to get their only win of the season. While UNC has been up and down this season, I cannot imagine Sam Howell laying an egg against this team. FSU is terrible on offense and even worse on defense. I foresee Howell embarrassing this team and putting up big numbers to try to improve his draft stock. I am kind of expecting a game very similar to their game against UVA. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 55+ point score for UNC to 14-21 points for FSU.

Iowa -1.5 against Penn State: This game will be a defensive battle. Neither team’s offense has maintained consistency yet this season; however, I think Iowa having an extra day of rest after putting up huge numbers against Maryland will be the difference maker. Factor that in to home field advantage and I think Iowa has enough to beat PSU. If you are smart, you would put a little bit of cash on the under as well as I don’t foresee this being a high scoring affair. It will boil down to who can avoid making the critical mistakes. I foresee it being a late field goal to make the difference.

Michigan -3 against Nebraska: I am surprised the spread is only 3 points when undefeated Michigan rolls in to Lincoln to take on a 3-3 Cornhuskers team. Especially considering the way that Michigan handled Wisconsin last week in their 38-17 win. Maybe I am still sour over Nebraska’s early loss to Illinois, but I do not see how this is a close game. I think Harbaugh is on to something and make have turned the corner with this Michigan team.

Wake Forest -6 against Syracuse: This was another game where I was shocked the spread was so low considering the two teams playing in it. Wake Forest manhandled FSU a few weeks ago 35-14 and Syracuse just played FSU to a tight game in which FSU kicked a field goal to win it in the final seconds. I do not see how this game is close. While I think Dino Babers has worked wonders to improve this program, I do not think it is there yet nor has the firepower to compete with a very solid Demon Deacons squad. Demon Deacons win this game by at least 10 points if not more.
