#11 Michigan Sweeps #5 Boston University with Overtime Thriller
Jackson Hallum was the hero of the night for Michigan, completing his hat trick at 3:13 of overtime to secure a 5-4 victory and a series sweep over No. 5 Boston University. The Wolverines seized the momentum early but faced a fierce BU comeback with first-period goals from Shane Lachance and Matt Coppini. Hallum struck back in the second, tying the game at 2-2.

The game turned into a nail-biter as both teams exchanged blows in the third. BU’s Devin Kaplan put the Terriers ahead with just over eight minutes remaining, but Hallum answered on the power play just 52 seconds later to send the game to overtime. His OT winner gave Michigan their first extra-time victory since last March’s showdown with Minnesota.

#9 Cornell Completes Sweep of #6 North Dakota
Cornell proved their mettle again, topping No. 6 North Dakota 5-3 to secure the sweep in Ithaca, NY. The Big Red rallied from a 3-2 deficit after two periods, with third-period goals by Ryan Walsh, Tim Rego, and Kyle Penney sealing the win. Jake Kraft and Jack O’Leary provided early scoring for Cornell, but North Dakota responded with a rapid-fire trio from Dylan James, Louis Jamernik, and Sacha Boisvert late in the second.

Cornell netminder Ian Shane, who reached his 50th career win on Friday, held strong with 25 saves to keep the Big Red unbeaten in their opening weekend.

#2 Boston College Sweeps #10 St. Cloud State
Boston College capped off their successful weekend with a tight 2-1 victory over St. Cloud State. After Verner Miettinen put the Huskies up early in the first period, BC’s Eamon Powell leveled the score midway through the second. Gabe Perreault, showing his clutch prowess, netted his fifth goal of the season at 3:23 of the third, securing the Eagles’ win. Jacob Fowler was solid between the pipes, making 25 saves for BC.

Wisconsin Halts Losing Streak with 2-1 Win Over #19 Notre Dame
Wisconsin snapped their five-game skid with a gritty road win against No. 19 Notre Dame. Simon Tassy’s late second-period goal stood as the game-winner, while Tommy Scarfone’s 22-save performance backstopped the Badgers’ defense. The scoring started with Wisconsin’s Owen Lindmark at 5:34 of the second before Ryan Helliwell evened things up for the Irish. Tassy’s strike with just 35 seconds left in the period sealed the deal. Notre Dame’s Owen Say fought

hard in net, making 33 saves in the loss.
